While I was applying for Australia for
my Bachelors, it rang a bell in my mind that no one can judge you, when I met
and knew few new people and dealt with them. Though my visa got rejected, I
gained experience which benefited my speaking skills and public relations.
As an enthusiastic learner, I learned
Microsoft Visio, software for drawing, in hours and made few drawings for my
grandfather’s book that he wrote on his own area of expertise. During a year
gap between A-levels and undergraduate program I assisted my father at his
office and gained a lot of knowledge on hydropower. Ending my schooling life on
a high node with good grades in all subjects, mostly better in mathematics and
computing encouraged me to do well in the A-levels programs, but it did not go
as planned.
During three years stay at Islington
College, I look forward to boosting my studying skills with frequent
presentations, various writing tasks and also enhance abilities to work in
groups. Slight knowledge in computer hardware and software architecture would
also help in the future. Updated on current development will aid understanding
the society.
However, IT companies while recruiting
for job prefer problem solvers rather than only degree holders, with help of
several modules I get to enhance ability of problem solving. Project planning
and management will aid while working for IT companies later on in our lives.
Planning to be a programmer in the near future, I’m very positive about
learning programming to its highest level.
All adequate amounts of ideas
collected in the entire modules during the three years of Islington College
will work as theoretical experience and the final year project that I submit to
London Metropolitan University will benefit me as practical experience.
